Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in their homes and communities. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, meaningful routines, and strong community connections.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks)
- Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy
- Encourage participation in community activities, employment, and social opportunities
- Follow individual support plans, behavioral support strategies, and health plans
- Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times
- Complete accurate and timely service documentation
- Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances)
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience supporting individuals with IDD is a plus, but not required
