As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

About the Role:

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide personalized support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily living activities : supporting individuals with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Developing and implementing individualized plans : working with individuals to create personalized support plans that align with their unique needs and goals

• Providing behavioral support : using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage positive behavior and reduce challenging behavior

• Facilitating community integration : supporting individuals in accessing community resources, participating in social activities, and pursuing recreational interests

Requirements:

• Compassion, empathy, and understanding : the ability to provide sensitive and supportive care to individuals with diverse needs
