Dimensional Inspector - AerospaceXyant Technology, established in 1995, is a premier federal systems integrator that provides technical and business solutions in information technology, systems engineering, scientific support and management consulting.Winner of Nationwide Best of the Best Small Business Award from Federal AviationJob Title: Dimensional Inspector - AerospaceLocation: Mountainhome, PA (Onsite)Duration: 9 Months Contract (40 hours per week)Kindly Note: Mon-Fri 7:30AM - 4:30PM (with 45 min lunch)Direct Client NeedJob Responsibilities:Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso)Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all standard work, safety procedures, and quality system requirements.Assist with training operators and inspectors on print reading and measurement techniques.Qualifications:1 to 2 years experience with CMM programmingNice to have Aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining background.Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systemsEducation: HS Diploma or GED equivalent or Relevant Experience.Additional Information:Please send your updated resume to or apply online.
