Secret-Eligible Dimension Control TechnicianPGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Eligible Dimension Control Technician in Palmdale, CA for a 6-month contract-to-hire role supporting Northrop Grumman.The Dimension Control Technician will support fabrication, assembly, alignment, inspection, maintenance, and repair of aerospace jigs and fixtures used in aircraft manufacturing. This onsite role requires hands-on experience with CMM, CNC, machining, or laser tracking, aerospace tooling knowledge, metrology experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, including Special Access Program access.Required SkillsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.4+ years of related experience.U.S. citizenship required.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, including Special Access Program access.Experience with CMM, CNC, machining, and/or laser tracking.Aerospace tooling experience.Knowledge of metrology processes, including setting details with a laser tracker.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Ability to fabricate, assemble, align, inspect, maintain, and repair jigs and fixtures.Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or laser measuring systems.Ability to lift, move, push, or pull 35–50 lbs.

throughout the workday.Ability to work inside and outside in a warehouse or shop floor environment.Ability to handle and assemble small parts and machinery.Ability to work any assigned shift as needed.Ability to travel as needed.Preferred SkillsAssociate degree.Laser tracking experience with assembly tools in an aircraft manufacturing environment.Forklift operation experience.Overhead crane operation experience.Tool and die making or related experience.3D CAD experience.Siemens NX, CATIA, or applicable 3D CAD system experience.Experience with computer-aided metrology systems such as laser trackers, articulated arms, scanners, or 6DoF systems.Experience with Verisurf, SpatialAnalyzer, Maya matrix, BuildIT, or PolyWorks.Experience analyzing collected data against computer models.Knowledge of integrated systems airframes and aero structures.Experience creating working build models in Verisurf or related software.What You'll DoFabricate and assemble jigs and fixtures used in aerospace manufacturing.Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.View and support jig and fixture design using CAD software.Fabricate tooling using materials such as aluminum, steel, or composites.Assemble jigs and fixtures and verify proper alignment.Use precision measuring tools and laser measuring systems to confirm dimensions.Adjust and fine-tune tooling to meet accuracy and precision requirements.Inspect jigs and fixtures for quality, compliance, and customer specifications.Document inspection results, adjustments, and maintenance activity.Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement on tooling.Identify and repair damaged or worn jig and fixture components.Collaborate with engineers, machinists, quality personnel, and production teams.Support continuous improvement efforts to improve tooling performance and manufacturing efficiency.Work Schedule / Shift4x10 schedule.Full-time, 40 hours per week.Onsite role.Must be able to work any shift as needed.Travel may be required.Pay$39.59/hourJob ID: 1516
