If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, your growth is encouraged, and your work truly makes an impact, you'll thrive here.Come build your career with a team that invests in you from day one.Position At A GlanceLocation: Pittsburgh, PA Position Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM Address: 4637 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 Pay: 2nd Shift is eligible for a pay differentialSign-On Bonus: Earn up to $5,000 for Expert and Master-Level Diesel Technicians!What You'll DoAs a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you'll be diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.Perform minor to advanced repairs as outlined on the repair order Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs as directed by a supervisor Assist other technicians on major repairs Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts Save and tag warranty or customer-requested parts Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs Document all work performed and recommended, including warranty information Road test vehicles as required or refer to test technician Keep work area, service truck, and customer vehicles clean and organized Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, and adhere to Hunter Truck safety policiesExpert to Master levels will also:Handle complex mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision Performs electrical and/or air conditioning system repairs.

Performs major component repairs and/or overhaulsWhat You BringExpert Level - $3,000 Sign-on Bonus:In-depth knowledge of diesel engine operationProficiency in using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to diagnose and repair engine issues with minimal supervision.Knowledge of industry-standard diagnostic tools and equipment.Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.Good communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to follow and lead others in safety protocols.Education and/or Experience:Vocational/technical school graduate with a minimum of three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Must have experience in engine and driveline troubleshooting.Must have experience in electrical repair and air conditioning systems.Must have component overhaul experience and/or specialty (A/C or electrical) experience.Must be able to obtain passing grade during Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and/or vendor trainingMust have good supply of most hand tools to complete most repairsMaster Level - $5,000 Sign-on Bonus:Preferred Skills:Expertise in diesel engine operation, electronic controls, and driveline systems.Ability to diagnose and repair engine issues.Ability to mentor and teach lower-level technicians proper procedures and techniques.Proficiency in using OEM diagnostic software.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to follow and enforce safety protocols and recognize potential safety issues.Education and/or Experience:Must be a vocational/technical school graduate and have a minimum five (5) years related experience.Must have experience in engine and driveline troubleshooting; electrical repair; air conditioning systems; must have component overhaul experience and/or air specialty (A/C electrical); must hold and maintain the required certifications for each area of expertise.Must have good supply of all tools needed to complete all repairs.Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards.Physical Requirements: Regular standing and use of hands; frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 100 lbs, and occasionally more than 100 lbs.
