Diesel TechnicianTrillium is seeking a Diesel Technician in Hamilton!This Direct-Hire opportunity seeks experienced Diesel Technicians to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance, and handle documentation, while working with a supportive team committed to high standards.This role offers a stable second-shift schedule, excellent benefits, and a modern, well-equipped shop environment.Responsibilities-Perform accurate troubleshooting and repair work on tractors, trailers, and related fleet equipment-Diagnose mechanical issues by inspecting, testing, and operating equipment-Complete component repairs, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance services-Handle equipment tear-down and reassembly as part of repair processes-Use manuals, diagrams, and prior experience to plan and execute repair procedures-Record labor, parts, and service details in the repair order system-Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area-Identify missing tools, damaged equipment, or supply shortages and report or resolve when possible-Communicate unsafe conditions or practices and recommend corrective steps-Support other shop locations when staffing needs arise-Take on additional tasks as operational needs changeSchedule is 2nd Shift / Monday–Friday / 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM with overtime may be required during busy periods. Occasional travel may be needed based on shop demand. Pay rate is $32.50– $37.50 per hour.

Final rate determined by experience, skill level, and qualifications.Additional Earning Potential:Shift differential opportunitiesCDL premium payASE certification bonusesAnnual tool allowanceAccess to paid online training resources-Two years of hands-on tractor/trailer repair experience OR a technical program in heavy-duty maintenance with at least one year of practical experience-Valid driver's license and ability to pass required DOT physical and drug screening-CDL, ASE, and inspection certifications are beneficial but not mandatory-Solid understanding of diesel engine systems, heavy-duty components, and repair techniques-Basic electrical knowledge preferred; advanced electrical diagnostics will be taught to qualified candidates-Ability to accurately track labor time and parts used on each job-Strong communication skills for working with team members and internal customers-Comfortable using diagnostic software and computer-based tools-Must supply personal basic hand tools-Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and reaching-Willingness to work with driver-facing safety technology
