Diesel Technician ISullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity to be a Diesel Technician I. This individual will perform vehicle repairs and services (including road service) on customer's vehicles while also delivering the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. You will work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction standards are met.
Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.Responsibilities:Work creatively with management to increase productivity and profitability.Perform PM services, tractor-trailer repairs, and maintenance.Perform and document vehicle safety inspections accurately.Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts.Remove, repair, adjust, overhaul, assemble, disassemble, and replace significant assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.Create accurate estimates on customer vehicles.Communicate well with customers and management to relay the needed repairs and the value of such repairs.Operate company vehicles safely, abiding by company policies and federal and state laws.Make roadside repairs.Provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.Maintain a safe and clean workspaceRequirements:Prior diesel mechanic experience preferred; must own mechanical tools.Valid driver's license with ability to pass DOT medical card requirement.Ability to lift 125lbs.Positive, customer service attitudeBasic math skills to calculate accurate repair estimates.Solid understanding of the truck service industryBenefits:Health Insurance- including Medical, Vision, and DentalLife and Disability InsurancePaid Holidays, Personal Time, and Vacation TimeDiscounted ServicesEmployee Owned!
