Diesel Technician / MechanicWe are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Pittsburgh, PA.You will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsExternal Qualifications and CompetenciesIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic softwareCompensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience. Experience: Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsAdditional Responsibilities Unique to this PositionFirst shift 7:30-4pm (1/2 hour lunch) Hours pending on business needsThis is a Union Position with Local 66Experience:Workshop Level II experience required.Education, Licenses, Certifications:- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.- A current valid license is required for this role- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical- 3 years driving experience- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or olderAbout UsCummins is an equal opportunity employer.
