Certified Diesel Truck Service TechnicianBest Ford is seeking a Certified Diesel Truck Service Technician to join our team at Best Ford in Nashua, NH. The Diesel Technician will perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty and medium-duty diesel vehicles in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic about learning.ResponsibilitiesA/C, Heater & Refrigeration - Complete performance tests, utilize, identify, and correct related problems. Diagnose and repair all systems and related problems.Brakes – Diagnose and repair all air or hydraulic systems and related problems, including set up and use of on car brake lathe.Electrical Charging Systems – Evaluate charging/starting components. Repair basic circuitry or component replacement.Clutch - Perform failure analysis for all conditions.
Diagnose and repair all systems and related problems.Cooling Systems – Determine system efficiency. Diagnose component failure and complete replacement.Drive Axles - Inspect housing for leaks, noise and wear. Perform diagnostics and major repairs as required.Transmission - Perform diagnostics mechanical and electronic, major repairs or replacement as required on manual and automatic transmissions, differentials, transfer cases and 4x4 systems.All Engines – Complete major and minor internal engine repairs.Fuel Systems - Diagnose diesel or gasoline fuel system malfunctions. Repair and replace fuel system components including injectors, pumps and lines.Electrical Systems - Utilize wiring diagrams and schematics to trace and repair electrical concerns. Use continuity testing, voltage drop, amp draw, short circuit and parasitic draw tests to trace and repair harness issues or identify module failures.Preventative Maintenance – Complete basic fluid and maintenance services, including coolant, transmission and brake fluids.Steering and Alignment – Diagnose and repair steering.
Disassemble, diagnose and repair/replace steering gear boxes and steering racks.Suspension-Chassis and Cab - Diagnose suspension noises and alignment concerns. Maintain, repair, and replace all chassis components, perform failure analysis and substantiate premature failure.Tire and wheel maintenance - Repair and replace tires, wheels and TPMS components including sensor programming. Properly diagnose and repair the cause of improper wear conditions.Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers. Maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment.Practice and promote teamwork at all times.
