Job DescriptionCompletes repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervisionWe are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Grand Forks, ND.We offer sign on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!Will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsExternal Qualifications and CompetenciesIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnosticsRequires direct supervision and review of workmanship qualityDemonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic softwareAdditional Responsibilities Unique to this PositionCore Responsibilities: Nothing to add for core responsibilitiesSkill and Education:(1) Heavy duty refrigeration (EPA 609), heavy truck and industrial refrigeration (EPA 609)(2) Heavy duty chassis and suspension experience(3) Heavy duty trailer maintenance experience- A current valid license is required for this role- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical- 3 years driving experience- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use-Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or olderEducation, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience: Minimal level of work shop experience requiredBasic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsCompensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
