Diesel MechanicWe are seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our dealership and repair shop specializing in Class 8/ 18-wheeler trucks. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks to ensure safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on 18-wheelersPerform repairs and preventative maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systemsService DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety regulationsTroubleshoot and repairing electrical systems, sensors, and onboard diagnosticsPerform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checksUse diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issuesMaintain accurate service records and repair documentationFollow shop safety procedures and manufacturer guidelinesCommunicate repair needs and timelines with service advisors or customersRequirements:Proven experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy-duty trucksStrong knowledge of diesel engines and truck systemsAbility to read and interpret diagnostic data and repair manualsFamiliarity with DOT regulations and inspectionsValid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required)Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focusedPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a truck dealership or fleet repair shopOEM experience (Freight-liner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, etc.)ASE Diesel certificationsCDL Class A or BWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Shop-based work with occasional outdoor exposureAbility to lift heavy components and work in various positionsFast-paced repair environmentBenefits:Competitive pay with overtime opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysTool allowance or tool reimbursementOngoing training and certification support
