Diesel MechanicsLawrenceville, GA, United States Other Or refer someone Job Openings Diesel MechanicsJob DescriptionResponsibilitiesWork on modern, low-mileage, private fleet equipment (Volvos and/or Freightliners with Cummins, Volvo and Detroit engines) in clean, safe shop facilitiesProvide bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to tractors, trailers and Toyota forkliftsUse computers for diagnostics and troubleshootingElectrical troubleshooting; tire maintenance; minor transmission repair; brake and air conditioning system repairRecent graduates welcome!ExpectationsNeed to be able to train on dayshift until processes and computers are learned.May have occasional extra work on a weekend day but primary shift will be weekdays, night shift.RequirementsMechanic Qualifications B-LevelPerform all items in C level plus the following: Diagnose, repair, or replace any external component of (eng, trans, rear end, cab/body, glass, interior components, sensors, suspension, etc) R&R major components (engine assy, trans, rear end, clutch, 5th wheel, starter/charging system, drive-line components, trailer panels and posts, trailer roofs, cross- members, doors, dolly assy, etc)Exhibit torch and welder knowledge (uses both with acceptable results)Exhibit diagnostic knowledge (understands and uses available tools and resources)Exhibit advanced TMT/TINA knowledge and usageTroubleshoot and repair electrical problems including but not limited to Qualcomm, Vorad, SkyBitz, etcAbility to perform trailer axle alignment Wheel end, PSI system, and ABS diagnosis and repairTroubleshoot and repair air systems Brake certified, A/C certifiedMust be 18 years of ageValid Driver's LicenseConvictions for Reckless Driving within the past 5 years will be reviewed on a case by case basisConvictions for DUI within the past 5 years will be reviewed on a case by case basisLicense suspensions or revocations within the past 5 years will be reviewed on case by case basisMore than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years will be reviewed on a case by case basisJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $29.00 - $33.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Lawrenceville, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Automotive repair: 1 year (Required)Automotive diagnostics: 1 year (Required)Mechanic experience: 1 year (Required)Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Required)Brake repair: 1 year (Required)Or refer someone
