We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-driven water pumps and related equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, experience with diesel engines, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A flexible schedule is required for participation in the on-call rotation. Candidates must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, engine diagnostics, and pump repair
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and specialized machinery to complete repairs
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities
- Follow all safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate repair needs clearly
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and maintenance machinery
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and physical tasks
