Anson County Landfill in Polkton, NC has an immediate opening for a safety-minded Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in maintaining equipment and helping keep our drivers and communities safe.
What You'll Do
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment.
- Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
- Utilize vehicle diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues.
- Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
- Complete maintenance documentation using fleet software.
- Test drive equipment after repairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist team members and perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience required performing diesel equipment diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Basic mechanic tool set.
- Class B CDL, preferred but not required
- Hydraulic experience is a plus.
