Diesel MechanicThe Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and scheduled mechanical work on the entire fleet. This person also diagnoses and repairs vehicles as needed. The mechanic is accountable for keeping track of works in progress, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are completed thoroughly and efficiently.Duties/Responsibilities:Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on trucks and trailers, including BIT and annual inspectionsRuns computer diagnostics as necessary to accurately identify failuresTroubleshoot, repair, maintain, and overhaul brake, HVAC, and major drive line component systemsPerforms minor or major repairs as necessaryRecords damaged, worn, or broken partsRecords accurate work orders using actual parts consumed, and actual labor hoursAssists with timely entering of invoices to help manage accurate inventoryCleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and suppliesCoordinates with shop foreman to schedule regular maintenance on machinesPerforms other related duties as assignedAbout CalValley Trucking:Serving the Central Valley since 1947, our family-owned business has been built on integrity and hard work.
