Diesel MechanicWe are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our repair shop. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will diagnose and repair issues with vehicles' performance and function. You must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components.
You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment and preparing cost estimates, and repair timelines. The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with the training department and being able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely along with an estimated timeframe of repair.Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shopCarry out routine vehicle maintenance tasksConduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakesCreate repair estimates and timelines and convey information to training departmentMaintain accurate repair shop records and paperworkQualifications:High School diploma or GED is requiredAssociate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferredAutomotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
