Diesel Mechanic - 2nd ShiftIngles Markets is looking for a Diesel Mechanic for its transportation fleet located in Black Mountain, NC. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will work in a garage doing mechanic work on the fleet's diesel engine machinery and tractor trailers. Weld and use hand tools and equipment to make repairs. Compensation Information: Pay starting at $22.00/hr. Multiple shifts - shift differential may apply. Additional certification pay may apply. Start earning Paid Time Off day 1 (FT). Weekly pay with direct deposit. Opportunities for advancement.Employment Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Will conduct a Criminal Background Check. Must pass an E-Verify Screening. Physical Requirements: Ability to bend and stoop for short to moderate periods of time. Ability to lift light to moderate weight. Must be able to climb upon a tractor to make repairs. Must be able to work overhead and from underneath a tractor or trailer. Stand on concrete floors.Experience Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must want to work and have excellent attendance.
Experience working in a garage doing mechanic work. 2 years of experience in tractor or trailer maintenance is preferred. ASE master certification in brakes preferred.
