Die Setter PositionHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a die setter position at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position. The die setter sets up die in a stamping press and runs production without assistance.
The hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The pay is $30-$35 an hour, depending on experience.Job ResponsibilitiesComplete die set-ups for production in accordance with work orderAnalyze and resolve work problems or assists workers in solving work problemsOperate all standard press room machinery and production support equipmentWork with toolmakers to troubleshoot stamping problems related to slug pulling, misdeeds, scrap build up and segregation, part ejection, and product dimensional nonconformancePerform routine machine maintenanceHelp with generation of work instructions when requiredDegrease stamp partsCount parts daily after production and during inventoryKeep work area cleanOther duties as assignedJob Requirements5 or more years of experience in tool making and die settingStrong mechanical skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; completion of vocational training strongly preferredAble to read blueprintsAble to use and interpret inspection equipment including precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and heavy liftingAble to troubleshoot press machineOrganized with the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to changeGood math skillsGood interpersonal and leadership skillsAnalytical thinking/problem solvingStrong organizational, verbal and written communication skillsMust be a U.S. citizenAble to pass pre-employment screenings
