Die Cutter OperatorLocation: Brunswick, New Jersey Job Type: Full timeA growing, full service printing and packaging company is preparing to open a new facility in Brunswick and is seeking experienced Die Cutter Operators to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a new operation and help establish a safe, efficient, and quality focused production environment.This position is responsible for setting up and operating die cutting equipment while maintaining production efficiency, customer specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety.Key responsibilities include:Complete press makeready for each new job, including setting the feeder, locking up the die, and setting the stripper, blanker, and deliveryAssist with loading dies weighing approximately 150 pounds into the cutting press using proper safety procedures and team assistance or equipment as neededOperate the die cutting press safely and as efficiently as possibleInspect random sheets from each load to confirm the finished product meets customer specifications and quality standardsIdentify, flag, isolate, and properly tag defective materialsMake necessary press adjustments and corrections before continuing productionRemove completed loads from the press using an electric hand truckReview and follow all instructions provided in the job jacketMaintain accurate production records, including waste, production time, downtime, and waiting timeFollow all company safety policies and understand the location and proper use of safety devices in the work areaMaintain a clean and organized work areaQualifications:Previous experience operating or assisting with a cutting press is preferredExperience with Bobst die cutting equipment is strongly preferredExperience within folding carton, commercial printing, or packaging production is preferredAbility to read, understand, and follow job jacket instructionsStrong mechanical ability and attention to detailBasic math skillsAbility to work safely, efficiently, and accurately in a fast paced production environmentAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishEquipment used:Bobst cutting pressElectric hand truckCompany provided tools and production equipment
