Die Corrector – Large Tonnage Presses

Responsibilities:

  • Correction and maintenance of extrusion tools, ensuring quality extrusion at the correct speeds.
  • Monitoring press production to identify flow inconsistencies and die performance in order to diagnose potential corrections in dies ranging from 246 to 596 mm in diameter on a 3,500-ton press, as well as on dies for 1,600- and 2,000-ton presses.
  • Evaluation of profile proposals.
  • Analysis of samples during the testing phase of new dies to determine dimensions and necessary corrections.
  • Die cleaning using caustic soda, polishing, etc., as well as checking for cracks or excessive wear.
  • Reading technical drawings and using precision measurement instruments.

Qualifications

  • Candidates with proven previous experience in the aluminum extrusion sector and availability to join our plant in Tifton.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of English is not required.
