Diagnostic Tech. (ARRT) - Full-Time
Wake Radiology UNC REX is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Diagnostic Technologist to join our team at our West Raleigh and our Panther Creek offices. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures while providing an exceptional patient experience. What You'll Do
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures following established protocols.
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures, reviewing medical history, and ensuring their comfort throughout the exam.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
  • Review images for quality and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
  • Assist radiologists during procedures and patient consultations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system.
  • Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.
  • Perform routine equipment quality control and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with physicians and team members to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Assist with training new technologists and support other Wake Radiology UNC REX locations as needed.
  • What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy, positioning, and imaging procedures.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality imaging.
  • Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.

  • Professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with digital imaging systems.
  • Qualifications
  • Associate degree (or equivalent two-year program) in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT certification and registration.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Completion of OSHA training as required by the employer.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiographic principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
