Role Overview:

This position involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to acquire diagnostic data for licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety and quality standards.

  • Administer ionizing radiation, prepare and assist with radiologic exams, and evaluate images for proper positioning and quality.
  • Ensure correct patient identification, obtain appropriate clinical history, and adhere to confidentiality policies.
  • Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, document radiation activities, and assist with specialized procedures outside the radiology department.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist licensed practitioners during procedures.
  • Perform in a clinical environment, comply with policies, and meet specific competency requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of a radiologic technology program; ARRT-R certification required within 6 months for new graduates.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, evaluate images, and maintain safety standards.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
