Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Diagnostic Radiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Metropolitan Hospital is a full‑service community hospital that provides state‑of‑the‑art care and leading‑edge technology. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College to maintain high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and relevant clinical information from records and referring physicians.
• Perform and interpret general diagnostic imaging studies.
• Administer contrast agents and radiopaque substances (by injection, orally, or enemas) to render internal structures visible on x‑ray films and fluoroscopic screens, recognizing and treating procedure‑related complications.
• Treat malignant internal and external growths using radiographs, high‑energy sources, and natural or synthetic radioisotopes.
• Communicate results and counsel patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
• Confer with medical professionals regarding image‑based diagnoses and coordinate radiology services with other medical activities.
• Maintain quality control of images and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a teleradiologist when needed.

Qualifications

• Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
• Active New York State medical license

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $468,750* (board‑eligible); $494,500* (board‑certified) based on a 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $674,750** (board‑eligible) and $700,500** (board‑certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $130,000.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): vacation, sick, holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, prescription, and dental coverage: top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
