Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist

Northwell Health is seeking a Pediatric Fellowship-trained Radiologist for a full-time, in-person opportunity at Cohen Children's Medical Center. This role involves dedicated time for scholarly activities, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participation in multidisciplinary conferences. The successful candidate will provide clinical coverage across various facilities, focusing on all aspects of Pediatric Radiology.

Practice Info

• Located at Cohen Children's Medical Center (CCMC) of New York, a 202-bed tertiary pediatric hospital.
• Performs approximately 70,000 examinations a year.
• Largest provider of pediatric health services in New York State, serving 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island's Nassau and Suffolk counties.
• Features a new inpatient hospital with a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
• Includes a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Bone Marrow Transplant unit.
• The Pediatric Radiology division is a growing group of 5 dedicated pediatric radiologists, with two new dedicated Pediatric MR machines (1.5T and 3T), two CT scanners, two new Siemens flat panel fluoroscopy units, and 3 ultrasound suites, supported by Pediatric Ultrasound technologists 24-hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Dedicate time towards scholarly activities.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in several multidisciplinary conferences.
• Perform clinical responsibilities including all aspects of Pediatric Radiology (plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI).
• Provide service coverage at Cohen Children's Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, as well as several community hospitals remotely.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• BE/BC Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York.
• Expertise in all areas of Pediatric Radiology (except Neuroradiology) is a must.
• Additional expertise/interest in Pediatric MSK is a plus.
