Diagnostic Pediatric Radiologist

Northwell Health is seeking a Pediatric Fellowship-trained Radiologist for a full-time, in-person opportunity at Cohen Children's Medical Center. This role involves dedicated time for scholarly activities, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participation in multidisciplinary conferences. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric radiology services across various Northwell Health facilities.

Practice Info

• Located at Cohen Children's Medical Center (CCMC) of New York, a 202-bed tertiary pediatric hospital.
• CCMC performs approximately 70,000 examinations a year and is the largest provider of pediatric health services in New York State.
• The facility includes a new inpatient hospital with a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
• The Pediatric Radiology division is a growing group of 5 dedicated pediatric radiologists.
• Equipment includes two new dedicated Pediatric MR machines (1.5T and 3T), two CT scanners, two new Siemens flat panel fluoroscopy units, and 3 ultrasound suites with 24-hour Pediatric Ultrasound technologists.
• A new separate Pediatric Neuroradiology division has been established with two dedicated Pediatric Neuroradiologists.

Responsibilities

• Dedicate time towards scholarly activities.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in several multidisciplinary conferences.
• Perform clinical responsibilities across all aspects of Pediatric Radiology (plain film, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI).
• Provide service coverage for Cohen Children's Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, and several community hospitals remotely.

Requirements

• D. or D.O. degree.
• BE/BC Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York.
• Expertise in all areas of Pediatric Radiology (except Neuroradiology) is a must.
• Additional expertise/interest in Pediatric MSK is a plus.
