Radiology Technologist - Bone Density - R.T.(R)ARRT
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Oregon City, OR. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional with a primary focus on bone density to play a vital role in diagnostic imaging with an attractive Tuesday-through-Friday schedule. We are offering a sign-on bonus of $6,000 for eligible candidates, in addition to a fantastic benefits and compensation package.
Position Overview
As a Radiology Technologist specializing in bone density, you will perform imaging examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated equipment. Your role is crucial in producing optimal, high-quality images by applying your clinical knowledge and judgment for proper positioning and radiation dose calibration. You will also be responsible for ensuring minimal radiation exposure to both the patient and yourself, adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
Qualifications and Certifications
  • Education: Completion of an accredited program to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
  • Required Upon Hire:
    • An Oregon Radiographer License OR an Oregon Radiographer Temporary License.
    • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association.
    • Note for New Graduates: Must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
  • Required Within 6 Months (180 Days) of Hire:
    • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
