We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to support the automation, reliability, and continuous delivery of our technology environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, database technologies, and DevOps security and integration tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI, with a preference for strong GitLab CI experience.
- Manage and support Linux-based environments using command-line tools and shell scripting.
- Automate operational and deployment tasks using Shell scripting and other appropriate tools.
- Build, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker.
- Deploy and support applications running in Kubernetes environments.
- Integrate DevOps pipelines with tools such as SonarQube, Black Duck, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance and assist with troubleshooting reliability issues.
- Work with MongoDB and Oracle databases to support application and operational requirements.
- Write and execute Oracle SQL queries, ranging from basic to more complex SELECT statements.
- Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and application issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with software development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
- Follow DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering best practices to improve system availability and deployment efficiency.
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes and improve operational reliability.
Qualifications:
- Strong professional experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
- Hands-on experience with Linux command line and shell scripting.
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI; strong GitLab CI experience preferred.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB and Oracle Database.
- Ability to write and execute Oracle SQL queries, including simple and complex SELECT statements.
- Experience integrating CI/CD workflows with SonarQube, Black Duck, and Vault.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong focus on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
