DevOps Engineer - SeniorInterpret written requirements & technical specifications for software solutions to business problems. Develop software based on technical specifications. Analyze & investigate problems with software solutions reported by clients & document the results of their investigation(s).

Perform maintenance of software & correct defects identified during the maintenance process. Run unit tests on software they create, implement test plans, test harnesses & document test results. Investigate & suggest solutions to defects & problems with software solutions detected during testing.

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment & possess strong written & verbal communication skills.We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a small team supporting developers & work collaboratively with agile teams to build, test & deploy new product offerings. Our technology stack is built on Java, Python & Scala, running in AWS. You will be involved in all SDLC aspects: design build pipelines, support cloud environments & work on various POCs.

You will gain a deep understanding of the applications to identify needed monitors & create suitable runbooks. Your role will require a wealth of knowledge & field-proven experience to deliver on the success of the initiatives.Required Skills:10 years of DevOps experience in a Linux environment10 years of Cloud experience with AWSSolid understanding of Cloud architectures & best practicesStrong knowledge of AWS services with hands-on experienceStrong knowledge of networking concepts such as routing, subnetting, NATing etcStrong Linux sysadmin skills, the shell is your best friendProficiency in scripting languages including Bash & PythonPractical experience with Docker containerizationStrong experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably BambooExperience with IaC, preferably TerraformExperience with configuration management tools, preferably SaltStrong analytical & problem-solving skillsStrong documentation & communication skillsPreferred Skills:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar fieldAWS CertificationsAdditional Job Details include:Maintain Websphere & PCF based lower (Sandboxes/Dev/QA/Pre-Prod) environments from a code deployment perspectiveMaintain test automation environments, code repository & code branches (in BitBucket)Work with DBAs to maintain test data in lower environmentsMinimize service disruption to lower environments by working with cross enterprise development teams & mitigation plansDevelop & maintain CI/CD scripts for tools like Bamboo & JenkinsMaintain lower environments from a OS level patching perspectiveMaintain Jenkins & windows nodes on app servers for build & automation testingSupport cross functional teams within Advice Technology from a Release Management perspectiveWork with Release Manager & development teams on administrative tasks such as creating required tickets for production deploymentsBe responsible for change management & documentation of environment & scripting resourceSupport deployment activities into the production environmentsResponsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation & maintenance of systems hardware & software & related infrastructurePerforms daily monitoring, verifying the integrity & availability of all hardware, server resources, systems & key processes, reviewing system & application logs & verifying completion of scheduled jobs, such as backupsInstall new/rebuild existing servers & configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards & project/operational requirementsCreate, change & delete user accounts per request, Repair & recover from hardware or software failuresCoordinate & communicate with impacted groupsSystems Administration/Systems Engineer certification in Unix & Microsoft is preferred
