Azure Cloud EngineerRaleigh, NC or Remote role6 months ContractPrimary Responsibilities:Assist in the design and implementation of Azure Cloud ServicesAssist in the development of processes and practices to support migration of workloads to Azure public cloudCollaborate with the team to build standard patterns and reusable codeSupport existing Kubernetes deployments and namespacesManaging container based solutions and applicationsResolve issues and provide technical assistance on our analytic platformsOptimize Azure buildouts for cost/performanceDevelop and implement changes using Infrastructure as CodeIdentify, document and promote best practices for IT infrastructure architecture and lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive higher efficiency and performance of the IT Infra servicesContinue to build skills on the job through mentoring and planned self-directed trainingRequired Qualifications:Significant experience with Linux system administration and support experience in an enterprise IT, service provider organizationExperience of managing public/private cloud technologies in a large-scale enterprise environment including large scale migrations. (Azure preferred)IaC experience with either Cloud formation, Terraform, PowershellStrong group communication and working across diverse areas of expertiseExperience with Docker images and containerised operationKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines using JenkinsPreferred Qualifications:Azure Administration CertificationExperience using Kubernetes for scaling data and servicesPrevious experience with Agile/SCRUM methodology/best practicesPrevious experience and successful track-record of learning new tools and technologies and leveraging these on integration and implementation projectsFamiliarity with Zabbix, Splunk, ElasticsearchVersatile with a least one language like: Python, Bash, PerlWhat does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)?
