Job TitleProject Details – Size, Scale, Scope?Leverage company standards on how things look and feel and then create reusable components for Company development teamsPart of APES teamExamples components: Web starter kits, NuGET packages, NPM modules, etc.Pod will be augmenting existing team (chevron architect, product owner, etc.) versus leading architecture/design wants more hands-on resources for high-level executionWill not be business team facing – that is handled by product owner and a few FTEs – they will be more heads-down workHighly prefer all roles to come from a development (versus systems/infra) background even if now heavy DevOps need to be able to understand how the solutioning/applications will leverage the pipelines and connect etc.Looking for high-mid to senior-level talent – have large gaps on teams and can’t have a ton of ramp-up time so need people who can come in and hit the ground running and are motivated, talented, capableYears of experience not as important as level of expertiseNeeds are broken down into 3 different sub-teams:Pipeline team – 2 openingsProject initiative:Overall role is to maintain pipeline & related components for company to have consistent guardrails on building & managing codeCurrent goal is to convert their ADO pipelines and convert into GitHub ActionsReinventing how they will delivery CI/CD in GitHub with plans to launch in 2023 --- hands-on engineering and Github actionsLarge task as current Azure DevOps pipelines wer 3+ years of engineeringHave design already done for the most part but need “boots on the ground” for helping to execution and get through pipeline baseJust focused on CI/CD pipelines and maintaining – don’t need to have a large understanding of apps/solutioning in Azure or it’s other services just basic knowledgeMoved away from Jenkins years ago (all ADO) and not using Terraform so don’t look for those skills but Azure DevOps & Ansible for that workCurrent team:Primarily based out of San Ramon, CA3 team members – too much work load for them to complete so need helpHave Microsoft and GitHub reps on call for high-level escalation but rarely useRole duties:Translating existing Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines into GitHub actionsTechnical Requirements:Ansible (YAML scripting)Azure DevOpsGit/GithubApplications dev basic knowledgeProgramming background in .NET/Angular or similar in the past preferred but not explicitly required as long as they understand apps connection but want someone with apps versus systems admin background as high preference
