DevOps EngineerThis role provides Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/SE Linux based High-Performance Computing (HPC) services for federal government customers. The position involves working with advanced HPC technologies to support scientific and engineering initiatives. The program focuses on delivering key supercomputing capabilities and is committed to continuous process improvement and the adoption of industry best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux/SE Linux configurations using Red Hat (RH) Satellite and Ansible automation.Collaborate with site administration to troubleshoot automation and deployment issues.Install software libraries in a RHEL/SE Linux environment to support enterprise deployments.Monitor and modify the enterprise environment within an agile framework.Engage with third-party vendors to integrate and automate manual deployment steps.Apply DevOps engineering best practices to deliver projects efficiently.Provide support to staff and end-users to resolve enterprise-related issues.Develop and modify existing DevOps processes to correct errors or improve deployment capabilities.Create and execute test plans for filesystem upgrades and work with vendor support to resolve issues.Identify opportunities for new business growth with additional customers.Required QualificationsA minimum of 5 years of combined experience in Linux, scripting/software development, and configuration management is required. This includes management and development of DevOps deployment automation processes. Proficiency in Python, Perl, Korn, Bourne/Bash, Ansible, and other shell scripting languages is necessary.
Experience with revision control software such as CVS, SVN, Git, GitLab, and GitLab CI is also required.Compensation & BenefitsThe estimated pay range for this position is $80.00/hr to $110.00/hr.Everforth Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
