Leidos is looking for a DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. As a DevOps Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.Primary ResponsibilitiesParticipate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement,Solving higher level and larger scope technical problemsDesign, develop, troubleshoot, and debug automation solutions for development, test and production environments.Ability to take high level requirements from senior engineers and program management and break the work down into smaller tasks for implementation.Makes process, program and automation recommendations to the project or program.Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform servicesCoordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use casesAnalyze (through proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needsUse industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scriptingDocument and perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environmentsCommunicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities and document proceduresApply and identify best practices and standard operating proceduresCreate innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.Required Skills;Active TS/SCI with PolygraphRequires a BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience.
