Senior DevOps EngineerEmergeATS is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer supporting a Lockheed Martin program, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system utilizing cutting-edge technologies. This position requires an experienced infrastructure and automation engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline management, operating within an on-site SCIF environment. The DevOps Engineer will design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and ensure system reliability and security compliance across classified networks.Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph and a current Security+ CE certification prior to start. This role requires 12+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, infrastructure automation, and cloud platform management. The position allows little to no work from home and will require a significant portion or all work to be performed in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) onsite in Fort Meade, MD. This position requires direct employment with EmergeATS (Kroll subsidiary). No sub-to-sub arrangements.Key Responsibilities:Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools using Python, Ansible, and TerraformDesign, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions using Terraform and auto scalingAutomate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud resourcesImplement infrastructure testing and validation practices for IaC deploymentsInstall, configure, and provide performance tuning utilizing Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native logging and metrics collection toolsManage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or FargateDesign and implement containerized deployment strategies supporting microservice architecturesMonitor container health, resource utilization, and optimize cluster performanceManage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab runners and Argo CDDevelop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processesImplement GitOps workflows for declarative infrastructure and application deliveryIntegrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates into pipeline stagesManage commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS) including compute, storage, networking, and serverless servicesImplement and maintain AWS networking principles including VPCs, NATs, and IP GatewaysMonitor cloud resource utilization, cost optimization, and capacity planningImplement cloud security best practices including IAM policies, security groups, and encryptionPatch, harden, and maintain compliance of RHEL-based systems in accordance with DoD security requirementsImplement and maintain STIG compliance across infrastructure componentsSupport security audits and vulnerability remediation activitiesEnsure systems meet RMF and NIST 800-53 security control requirementsCollaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliabilityTroubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptimeImplement monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures for production systemsCommunicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across the programQualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience / 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree). Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.

Experience: 12+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, infrastructure automation, and cloud platform management within DoD/IC classified environments.
