DevOps EngineerKCC's DevOps team plays a crucial role in the development and support of our global catastrophe models and RiskInsight® platform. As a member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for managing the software deployment pipeline, assisting with the maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure and providing occasional IT support for colleagues and clients. KCC catastrophe models currently cover tropical cyclones, extratropical cyclones, severe convective storms, floods, earthquakes, winter storms, and wildfires in over 50 countries.Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000ResponsibilitiesWork in a fast-paced and technical environment supporting the infrastructure and deployment of our software stackManage the complete deployment pipeline including build automations and cloud and on-premises deployments on internal and client infrastructureMaintain security best-practices for IT infrastructure, software, and internal policiesContinuous monitoring for environments hosted on-premises, AWS or AzureTroubleshoot issues, including but not limited to the administration of Windows and Linux OS, web sites providing technical web services, general networking, and SQL managementProvide quick response support for production applications, both internal and externalQualificationsPractical working knowledge of: SecOps standards and practicesAzure DevOps, GitHub, Octopus Deploy or similar CI/CD pipelineManaging AWS and/or Azure environments for scalable distributed processingManaging web services and web sites, including firewall, load management, and certificatesWindows and Linux OS administration, including a deep understanding of general networking principlesExperience with SQL Server / Postgres database managementAWS experience is requiredThe ability to multi-task problems and prioritize multiple issues as they arriveStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong organizational and documentation skillsStrong automation skills, including but not limited to scripting, infrastructure as code, etc.3+ years of experience
