DevOps EngineerLocation: Tampa, FL OR Toledo, OHDuration: 12 Month Contract to hirePay Rate: $65HR on C2CSponsorship: YesJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have deep experience supporting containerized environments using Kubernetes, building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and CloudFormation, and designing reliable, scalable CI/CD pipelines. This role will partner closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to improve platform reliability, automation, and delivery velocity.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure in AWS and GCPDeploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, or self-managed)Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormationBuild and support CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, test, and deployment processesContainerize applications using Docker and manage deployment strategies (rolling, blue/green, canary)Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using cloud-native and third-party monitoring toolsCollaborate with development teams to improve DevOps practices and cloud architectureImplement security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, and policy enforcementTroubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call or incident response rotations as neededOptimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and scalabilityRequired Skills:7+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roleStrong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCPProven experience managing Kubernetes in production environmentsExtensive experience with Terraform and CloudFormation (writing, maintaining, and refactoring IaC)Solid experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentalsProficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)Experience with Docker and container orchestration best practicesFamiliarity with logging, monitoring, and observability toolsPreferred/Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with Helm and Kubernetes package managementMulti-account/multi-project cloud architecture experienceExperience with security automation, vulnerability scanning, or compliance toolingExposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principlesCloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) are a plusSoft Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills.
