As part of the Engagement Support Services (ESS) contract, this program enables analysts to quickly access the tools and environments they need to investigate cyber threats affecting federal agencies, state and local governments, and critical infrastructure. Working on this team means directly supporting the nation's cybersecurity defenders by ensuring they have reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure available within hours of a cyber incident—helping protect America's digital infrastructure when it matters most.DevOps Engineers will automate, optimize, and enhance the deployment and management of Bespin cloud engagement kits. These positions focus on building robust CI/CD pipelines, maintaining source control repositories, and implementing infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure consistent, scalable, and stable deployments.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated engagement kit deploymentManage source control and code repositories for infrastructure configurationsImplement infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similarAutomate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resourcesEnhance kit capabilities through automation and optimization initiativesCollaborate with architects and administrators to streamline deployment processesImplement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutionsSupport troubleshooting and performance optimization during active operationsMaintain version control and change management processesDevelop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual effortEnsure consistency and repeatability across engagement kit deploymentsParticipate in security hardening and compliance automation effortsRequired Skills:U.S. CitizenshipMust have an active TS/SCI clearanceMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering rolesStrong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, YAML)Knowledge of Git and version control best practicesExperience with AWS cloud services and APIsUnderstanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with configuration management and automation toolsStrong understanding of Linux/Unix systemsDesired Skills:Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS)Knowledge of security automation and compliance-as-codeExperience supporting operational or mission-critical environmentsFamiliarity with agile development methodologiesBackground in software development or systems engineeringExperience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or High School diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experienceDesired Certifications:AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certificationSyndeo: ESS-3413, ESS-3414Salary & BenefitsThe salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
