DevOps Engineer 4Pay: $82/hr - $87/hr on C2CLocation: Chicago, IL /or Dallas (in office 1 day a week as of now)Duration: 12 monthsEducation & Experience Required:8+ years of software development experienceNo degree neededIf candidate has a degree, 8 years minimum experience still required.Required Technical Skills:8+ years of DevOps experience5+ years of AWS or Azure cloud experienceExperience managing YAML-based continuous integration, continuous delivery systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)Experience writing and deploying Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation templates and/or Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.Desired:Associate or Professional-level AWS and/or Azure certifications related to DevOps, Development, or Architecture.Strong background working with revision control systems (Git, etc.)Experience performing root cause analysis on CI/CD pipelines.Experience with IDE Tools (VSCode, Eclipse, Intellij, etc.)Great verbal and written communication skills to collaborate cross functionally and enhance scalability.Soft Skills (Required):Analytic mindset and skilled problem solver for troubleshooting issuesGreat verbal and written communication skills to collaborate cross functionallyDisqualifiers/Red Flags/Overqualifications:Any resume longer than 3 pagesPosition's Contributions to Work Group:Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.Drives application development focused around delivering business valuable featuresMaintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habitsIdentifies and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the teamCommunicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completenessTypical Task Breakdown:Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.Drives application development focused around delivering business valuable featuresMaintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habitsPerforms integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.Worker is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.Interaction with Team:Team consists of dev ops engineers and Cloud Security engineers.Working with cat Digital Development teams.Work Environment:In office 1 day a week as of now
