DevOps EngineerLocation: Colorado Springs, Colorado (Onsite)Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.Role OverviewAs a DevOps Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure. This role involves developing and maintaining automated deployment scripts and collaborating with development teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform.Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using technologies including Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects.Track the impact of events and actions, such as patching and maintenance, on the underlying infrastructure.Required QualificationsTechnical Skills:Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix.Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration.Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.Certifications: Candidate must obtain a DoD 8570/8140 certification, such as Security+ CE or equivalent, within three months of starting.Preferred QualificationsExperience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible.Prior experience with a Nutanix Hyperconverged on-prem cloud platform.Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.Scrum Master experience is a plusEverforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
