DevOps Engineer (0019-0058)

Own and advance the software, data, and deployment infrastructure that supports electro-optical test automation and display-drive algorithm development across lab and cloud environments. Responsible for design and securing relational databases. Build automated workflows for data ingestion, processing, reporting, and experiment tracking. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes. Administer

cloud infrastructure in partnership with IT and Security. Ensure operational reliability though monitoring, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, automation, and infrastructure-as-code. Maintain source-control and collaboration tools, documents system architecture and operational procedures, provides support to engineering teams. Drive performance and reliability improvements.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Education and Experience Requirements

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a directly related field plus one (1) year of experience in DevOps engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or data/infrastructure engineering.

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Linux system administration, networking, and security fundamentals

- Python and SQL for automation, tooling, and data engineering tasks

- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated build/release workflows

- Developing scalable automation solutions and workflow orchestration systems

- Observability and reliability engineering practices, including logging, monitoring, and alerting

- Troubleshooting complex system, infrastructure, and performance issues

- Infrastructure automation and configuration management

- Git-based version control systems and repository administration

Travel Requirements

Travel required to Fremont, CA office one day per month.

Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. Must reside within commuting distance of Fremont, CA office.
