Mechanical Development Team Project LeaderAs a Mechanical Development Team Project Leader in the Optical Modules Group, you'll engage in the design and development of cutting-edge opto-electronic devices for next-generation high-speed network and communication products. Collaborating closely with diverse engineering teams across multiple locations, you will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where innovation is key. Your role will involve overseeing the creation of new package and module designs, along with their components.

This position offers a unique opportunity to impact product development significantly, ensuring the success of our advanced communication solutions.Your ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a high-performing engineering product development team to deliver innovative mechanical designs aligned with cost, schedule, and performance goals.Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring seamless coordination of activities across multiple disciplines and teams, both internally and externally.Facilitate and lead regular team meetings, setting clear agendas, tracking action items, and documenting outcomes to maintain project momentum.Conduct thorough technical reviews, providing insights for FMEAs, design analyses, risk assessments, and qualification plans to drive product quality and reliability.Collaborate closely with suppliers on design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, root cause corrective actions (RCCA), and procurement processes to resolve part issues effectively.Assess resource needs and project priorities, providing key inputs for headcount, budget, and scheduling requirements to optimize team efficiency.Prepare and present detailed project status reports and summaries to upper management and cross-functional teams, showcasing progress and strategic alignment.Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leading the development of cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of connectivity.Your Skills and ExperienceMust-Have:MS in Mechanical Engineering required5-10 years of mechanical design and/or product development experienceProven project management and/or project leadership experienceExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsNice-To-Have:Experience in design using 3D CAD and solid modeling toolsKnowledge of FEA and fundamental understanding of thermo-mechanical and structural analysisFamiliarity with optical design and/or electronic device packagingKnowledge of statistical analysisExperience with Agile methodologies preferredJob InfoJob Category Applied R&DDegree Level Master's degreeJob Schedule Full timeJob Type ExperiencedJob Identification 38950Role Type People ManagerSalary Range USD $125,000 - $205,000 *Plus potential variable compensation for eligible rolesExperience level ExperiencedLocations 7360 Windsor Drive, Allentown, Pennsylvania, , US (Onsite)Regular or Temporary Regular7360 Windsor Drive, Allentown, Pennsylvania, , US
