Development OfficerThe Development Officer reports to the Executive Director of Operations and is responsible for fundraising as a generalist on behalf of the university in support of key priorities.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Focus on acquisition, retention, and reacquisition of prospects ($1,000 - $24,999) in the assigned region with a primary focus on unrestricted giving. Qualify and cultivate donors with the goal of increasing the donor's support to leadership and major gift levels.Work closely with all levels of development officers in the division to ensure short and long-term fundraising success. This role will be assigned to at least one Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in the division with travel expectations of 50%.Help to create and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork that celebrates outcomes, builds individual and team capacity, and ensures that WashU UA is a preferred workplace.Perform other duties as assigned.Working Conditions:Normal office environmentAbility to travel to various on- and off-campus locationsPhysical Effort:Typically sitting at a desk or tableEquipment:Office equipmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
