Through Christ-centered education, media, and ministry initiatives, we are dedicated to building people and creating lasting, eternal impact.What You'll DoStrategic Development LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive development strategy with a strong emphasis on major gifts, foundation partnerships, and long-term philanthropic growthBuild and manage a healthy donor pipeline with clear strategies for identification, cultivation, invitation, and stewardshipEstablish measurable goals for revenue growth, donor engagement, and retentionRegularly evaluate performance and refine strategies to ensure sustained impactMajor Gifts & Relationship ManagementPersonally steward a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospective partnersInitiate and lead meaningful conversations that confidently invite investment in GEI's missionCultivate relationships through consistent in-person and virtual engagementMove individuals and partners from interest to active, ongoing investmentFoundation & Strategic PartnershipsIdentify, pursue, and secure foundation and institutional support aligned with GEI's missionDevelop compelling proposals, cases for support, and impact reportsBuild long-term relationships with foundation leaders and grant-making organizationsEstablish scalable systems for grant prospecting, submission, and reportingExternal Presence & Opportunity CreationRepresent GEI in strategic environments to expand visibility, influence, and partnership opportunitiesIntentionally build relationships within networks and communities with capacity to giveCollaborate with executive leadership and board members to open doors and strengthen connectionsProactively pursue opportunities that advance philanthropic growthDonor Experience & StewardshipDesign meaningful donor experiences that clearly connect generosity to impactEnsure consistent, personalized communication that reflects gratitude, transparency, and visionStrengthen donor retention and lifetime engagement through intentional stewardshipCreate opportunities for partners to see, hear, and experience the transformation they are supportingCollaboration & Internal AlignmentPartner with leadership, program teams, and creative services to translate impact into compelling storiesCollaborate with finance to ensure accurate reporting and build donor confidenceEquip and support board members in their role as ambassadors and partners in developmentSystems & AccountabilityMaintain accurate donor records and activity tracking within CRM systemsProvide regular reporting on pipeline health, donor engagement, and revenue progressEnsure disciplined follow-up and consistent execution across all opportunitiesWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred5–7+ years of progressive development experience with demonstrated success in major gifts and donor growthProven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals through relationship-driven engagementExperience securing foundation or institutional supportStrong ability to confidently and clearly invite financial partnershipExceptional communication and storytelling skills that connect mission to impactStrategic thinker with strong execution and follow-throughHighly relational, with the ability to build trust across diverse audiencesOrganized and disciplined in managing pipelines, priorities, and follow-upsExperience with CRM systems and development analyticsWork EnvironmentThis is an onsite role based in San Antonio, Texas, with regular in-person engagement both on campus and throughout the community.
