Position Summary

WNCSource is seeking a visionary, strategic, and results-driven Development Director to champion our mission and advance our financial sustainability. Serving as a key member of the leadership team, the Development Director oversees all aspects of fundraising, donor stewardship, grant acquisition, and strategic marketing. The ideal candidate will blend a passion for community impact with a sophisticated understanding of donor cultivation, transforming milestones into meaningful, lasting support for the individuals and families we serve.

Education & Training

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of management experience.

Alternative: Master’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Experience

A minimum of three (3) years of dedicated, professional fundraising and development experience, with a proven track record of securing major gifts, managing campaigns, and writing successful grant proposals.
