Development Coordinator, ASU HealthThe Development Coordinator, ASU Health is responsible for providing professional and operational support. Key areas of responsibility include planning meetings and away days, monitoring and assisting with budgets, donor correspondence, complex scheduling assistance and supporting related functions.What you'll doManages the operations of the ASU Health fundraising team, including setting meeting agendas, booking speakers, taking notes and following up on action items. This includes bi-monthly team meetings, monthly pipeline meetings, donor strategy meetings, anchor work days, and annual away days.Supports development related events for their assigned units, such as the ASU Health football suite an annual event and board meeting, and unit specific events when needed.Stays informed and up to date on organizational policies and procedures that directly impact role, unit/department, and organizational success and helps the fundraising team meet goals, deadlines and stay in compliance with new proceduresProvides quarterly and monthly budget analysis for department(s)/unit team(s); reviewing past expenditures and future planned expenses, and prepares reports for budget managersPrepares fundraising reports and Workday reports as directed, and assists with projects as assignedInputs information into Salesforce, including but not limited to contact reports, and opportunities as directed by leadershipProvides advanced planning to support complex and highly varied internal and external meetings working with Technology and Solutions as neededScreens telephone calls and visitors, to resolve routine and complex inquiriesPrepares presentations, correspondence, reports or other documents from rough draft, notes, or tapesMakes travel reservations and itineraries as neededPays invoices, opens, and distributes the mail and coordinates signing of documents as directedMaintains a working knowledge of fundraising activities and proactively support them with electronic systems; establish strategies and plans for the maintenance, use, and development of the database that will benefit users and programsWhat you'll needExcellent organization and prioritization skills, able to balance multiple issues in a fast-paced environment, with a high attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned tasksExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; possesses a high degree of discretion, judgement, tact, and poiseAbility to make independent judgements and coordinate office details in conjunction with policies and proceduresCollaborative style coupled with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with little supervisionAbility to routinely interact with individuals at all levels of the ASU Foundation, Enterprise Partners, and the UniversityAbility to take initiative, and consistently respond to changing situations in a flexible manner to meet the current needs of the department/unitAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Foundation and University business and confidential prospect informationKnowledge of office and administrative practices and principlesKnowledge and skill in accounting and budgeting procedures and technique, and web-based financial systemsAdvanced computer skills in a variety of Windows-based computer programs and technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database managementIf this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is requiredRelevant qualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field, or currently enrolled in bachelor's degree programOne (1) to three (3) years professional experience in an administrative support capacity, providing coordination and assistance of operational activities, includes at least one (1) year of database management experienceOr any equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achievedPreferred education and experienceOne (1) to (3) years of experience in an administrative support capacity, providing coordination and assistance of operational activities, preferably in a not-for-profit or development environmentExperience with Salesforce and WorkdayPreferred skills and abilitiesKnowledge of fundraising and prospect management databasesBenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with matching employer contribution22 days of vacation time11 holidays, including your birthdayParental leaveSignificant tuition reductionsProfessional development is highly valued at ASU Foundation, where employees are encouraged to look across the organization and nurture new areas of interest$30 bi-weekly cell phone reimbursementAbout ASU FoundationThe ASU Foundation fosters partnerships between ASU and like-minded individuals, corporations and foundations who believe in ASU's mission and provide resources for ASU to manifest its charter into meaningful impact.
