Developer IIISYSTEMTEC is seeking a Developer III for a remote opportunity working EST hours. Candidate will support the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-level web applications within a large-scale commercial engineering environment focused on modernizing and maintaining complex provider-facing systems. This role involves full lifecycle development activities, collaboration within an Agile team, and participation in both feature delivery and production support for a mission-critical multi-year modernization initiative.Required Qualifications of the Developer III:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience4+ years of experience in application development, systems testing, or related IT experienceStrong experience with backend development using Java, microservices, REST APIs, OpenShift, and XMLExperience working in enterprise, multi-platform environments (mainframe, midrange, and/or distributed systems)Strong understanding of software development, QA, and integration methodologiesAbility to interpret system specifications and translate them into technical solutionsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExperience working in Agile development environments and participating in ceremoniesExcellent communication skills and ability to work closely with technical and business stakeholdersPreferred Skills/Experience of the Developer III:Experience with Quarkus framework and microservice-based architecture designFamiliarity with Maven build toolsExperience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing and test automationExperience supporting enterprise application modernization or rewrite initiativesExposure to production support and incident resolution in enterprise environmentsResponsibilities of the Developer III:Participate in full lifecycle software development including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and deploymentDevelop and maintain backend services and enhancements for enterprise web applicationsCreate technical specifications, system designs, and documentation for complex application componentsAnalyze system dependencies and evaluate impacts of enhancements or changesTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and customer-reported defectsParticipate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cross-functional technical and business teamsWork Location: Remote.
