Developer IThis is a Temp to Perm opportunity. Must work full time/onsite in Cary, NC office, working remotely or in another office is not an option. No travel is expected for this role.
This is a 40 hr per week role. There are monthly production cycles where the resource may need to log in from home on weekends but will offset those hours by working less during that week to keep balance at 40 hours.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Data Engineer to support our warehouse activities and has the passion for data and data technologies to join our Performance Analytics Team. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in building innovative data solutions and help take our applications to the next level.
You will be given diverse responsibilities with the freedom and the potential to make an immediate impact as well as contributing to a larger project initiative to build out our big data platform.What You'll DoMaintain and manage backend database systems to meet application uptime and performanceParticipate in design and development of data pipelines for data warehouse using ETL toolsProvide DB support to development teams during the development phaseSafeguarding of company confidential data through appropriate IT securityWhat You Need• B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. • Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills • Experience with extract-transform-load (ETL) Tools • Strong experience in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using ETL Tools • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server • Strong expertise in writing SQL code • Experience in designing and building reports & visualizations using BI tools • Familiarity with DB administration • Must be a team player with positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively MUST HAVE SKILLS - - 1 to 3 yrs of solid Data warehousing experience - bringing in new data sets, creation of Staging and Reporting - SQL experience - 1 to 3 yrs reporting experience (currently Cognos 10.0 is used and moving to Power BI platform) Nice to Have - - Power BI Certification (NOT REQUIRED)
