Developer C#.NET Client ReportingDeveloperBoston, MAAsset ManagementJO- This position has development and maintenance responsibility for a broad variety of software applications that support the firm's Global Client Group. Initial focus will be on the databases, applications, and processes associated with the Client Reporting team. Additionally, this role will troubleshoot general system issues and answer data questions pertaining to client reporting. The Developer must have the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. The software engineer will work closely with other IT team members of varying disciplines and our internal business partners to meet stated objectives.

The role involves direct interaction with end users and requires excellent analytical and communication skills. The position reports to the IT Team Lead.Responsibilities:Work on a delivery team to develop, enhance, and support various Client Engagement solutions, primarily client reportingAct as the solution engineer responsible for the implementation of approved technologies that align with our technical architecture, customer’s business plans, and long-term strategy.Establish and maintain continuous delivery pipelines to fully automate the integration of components across different embedded projectsDevelop, maintain and enhance internal and client reports and the API's that deliver dataInvestigate and resolve issues impacting our production environmentHelp perform data validations and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy of client reports and other reportsWork collaboratively within IT and with various business units across the firmUnderstand business workflows and identify opportunities to advance capabilities, gain efficiencies, reduce riskPerform analysis at the application, code, and data levelPerform support analysis; research, test, and track business issues and software defectsPerform story creation and grooming and develop acceptance criteria as an agile team member assigned to projects that directly impact the Global Client GroupPartner with various teams to research, resolve, and document production issuesFacilitate cross-team communication and alignmentHelp the company advance toward its target architecture and development practices and retire legacy applicationsQualifications:B.S. in computer science or related field; 5-10+ years' experience in software development and systems integrationRelevant work experience in the asset management industry required, specifically supporting information delivery, application support, and integration effortsSolid knowledge of modern software design principles, concepts, and practicesStrong working knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack (e.g. .NET Core, C#) with emphasis on the backend technologiesEnjoys working with data (data transformations, ETLs, etc)Extensive experience with Relational Databases, ideally SQL ServerExperience with GitLab CI/CD, DevOps, and Test Driven DevelopmentExperience working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) required.Cloud exposure, preferably AWS and EC2, S3, and TerraformWeb experience, including building or consuming REST services, WCF, and ASMXProven ability and motivation to problem solve by applying (or learning) relevant technologies and doing so in a collaborative team settingFamiliarity with the following is a plus: Microservice Architecture, Containers, Secrets Management, Terraform, SplunkExperience with SS&C's Vision FI client reporting application or similar product is highly desired (e.g. Vermillion, Kurtosys, Coric)Experience in financial services and the investment management industry is desiredThe successful candidate will be a self-starter that takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative, collegial environmentMust be detail oriented with outstanding analytical and problem solvingMust be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
