Dev/Research Engineer 4Duration - 12 months contract with possible extensionLocation - 6000 W Caterpillar Trail, Green Valley, AZ 85614– Onsite rolePosition's Contributions to Work Group:Testing and development of electric drive machinery such as AC drive haul trucks, shovels, locomotives, etc. 8-10 years of experience with the design or testing or installation and maintenance of high-power electrical systems >1MW. Will work in a team of other test engineers and with mechanics and operators to execute prototype builds, machine updates and tests.
Participate in risk assessments and hazard assessments related to electrical systems.Interaction with team:Daily interaction with engineers, mechanics and machine operatorsWork environment:Arizona desert environment. Ability to work outside and on foot as well as in an office environment.Education & Experience Required:Several years of experience with design, installation and/or testing of high power (>1 Mw) electrical systems and electronics. Such as generators, switchgear, transformers, electric drive mining shovels, haul trucks, locomotives.
