Detention Officer — Corrections Security & Inmate Intake

Jackson County Detention Center is seeking a Detention Officer to provide security for inmates and ensure adherence to policy. The role involves processing new inmates, conducting contraband searches, and escorting inmates through intake procedures.

Associates may rotate posts and shifts as needed, with overtime possible during staffing shortages. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, pass the Jail Academy Exam, and hold/maintain First Aid, CPR and AED
