Title: Desktop Technician

Location: New York, NY

Duration: Until 12/2026

W2 Contract (No C2C)

Pay rate: $29 per hour

Job Description:

• Temporary technician needed through the end of the year to perform comprehensive maintenance activities, including support for PCs, notebooks, printers, and other PC peripherals.
• Relocate and install PCs, printers, and other peripherals, including L'Oréal standard software, across all L'Oréal locations.
• Install and configure end-user software, such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
• Adhere to L'Oréal security and safety regulations, particularly regarding virus protection.
• Ensure all software is virus-free prior to installation.
• Install Local Area Network (LAN) client software and hardware as appropriate.
• Update hardware and software asset records upon the installation or relocation of any PC equipment.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Diploma in Computer Engineering or a related field, with preferably two (2) years of experience in PC and printer support and maintenance.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Pleasant personality with a positive attitude, strong end-user communication skills, analytical abilities, and a customer-oriented approach.
• Proficient in supporting Windows 7 and Windows 8 client environments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficient in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Symantec Antivirus, Attachmate Extra Program, and related tools.
• Basic knowledge of troubleshooting network connections and understanding of TCP/IP concepts.
• Basic knowledge of supporting iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads.
